A temperament test is an evaluation designed to help predict behavioral tendencies. Temperament tests have limitations and cannot be used to guarantee future behavior.
A temperament test may be used to determine the suitability of a particular animal for a particular situation. Temperament tests are often designed to help create a good match prior to an adoption or purchase.
This service is available for individual puppies, kittens, dogs and cats of all ages. Litters of puppies and kittens may be assessed as a group.
The average length of a temperament test is one hour for an individual dog or cat. This includes a discussion and written report of Dr. Lindell's findings and recommendations.
Temperament tests for litters take about 10 minutes per individual. We provide a score sheet for each puppy but you will not receive a detailed written report.
